The program functionality is designed to allow users to create and manage programs within the system (f.e. site network or specific). The programs are independent of each other and are used for authorization purposes. These programs can be connected to groups, organizations, departments, and contacts, and can be used to control access to various resources within the system.
For the program functionality, these are the key features:
- Program Creation: Users with the correct permissions (management) can create new programs by specifying a name and description for the program. They can also assign the program to a group, organization, department, or contact person.
- Program Editing: Users with the correct permissions (management) can edit existing programs by changing the name, description, or assignment to a group, organization, department, or contact person.
- Program Deletion: Users can delete programs that are no longer needed. Deleting a program will remove all associations with groups, organizations, and contacts.
- Program Merging: Users can merge programs that are duplicates. Merging two or more programs will update all associations with groups, organizations, and contacts.
- Program Search: Users can search for program based on name, description, or association with a group, organization, or contact.
- Program Permissions: Users can assign users to each program. These permissions can be used to control access to specific resources within the system.
- Program Reports: Users can generate reports on programs, including information on which groups, organizations, and contacts are associated with each program.
- Program Auditing: All changes made to programs, including creation, editing, and deletion, will be audited to maintain a history of changes.
- Default program: When a user is logged in to a program, the default program is set to that program and should be visible on the screen. The user does not have to select the program for searching or performing any activity in that program.
