Add or create a participant record

Depending on the type of study, participants can be added to Your Research in three different ways:

  1. Manually via the ''add participant'' button in Your Research Portal.
  2. Self-registration by participant via a registration form on a website.
  3. Via an import CSV file that can be uploaded into Your Research Studio.

* Ask the administrator of Your Research within your organisation for more information.

Via the 'add participant' button it is possible to add a participant. The following data can be recorded around a participant, but it depending on the study it is possible to tailor the capture of this information:


  • Patient/participant:
    1. ID – generation of ID:
      • Automatic
      • Manual
      • External source (API)
    2. Status -> more about statuses, and click here.
    3. First name 
    4. Last name 
    5. Gender
    6. Email
    7. Telephone number
    8. Group
    9. Date of birth
    10. Children and/or informal care
  • Address
  • Assign groupmembers
  • Notification preferences
  • Activities 

It is also possible to record additional properties per participant.  

Please note! You may not see all the data or have access to all functionalities. This depends on your role and permissions set by the administrator of your organization. If you miss essential data, please contact the administrator.
