Merge:
Users with permission to merge an organization can select an organization that needs to be merged and can use the "Merge organization" action that's available after pressing the "Bulk actions" button at the top of the Organization grid. On the new window that appears, the user selects the organization that needs to be merged into the selected organization. After selecting the save button, the system prompts for confirmation. When the user confirms the merging, the system sets the end date for the organization, indicating that it is no longer active or usable. The organization is marked as inactive but remains in the system for historical reference and data integrity purposes. The system updates all associations of the merged organization with programs, countries, departments, groups, contacts, and questionnaires.
Link & unlink organizations:
To link an organization to an organization, for example, a hospital to a laboratory, a user with permission to link an organization, can select an organization and choose, via the bulk actions button, the Link organization action. When selecting the option a new window pops up and shows all the organizations that are connected to the logged-in user but are not yet connected to the selected organization. After selecting an organization and pressing save, the organization is linked to the organization.
To unlink an organization from an organization a user with permission to unlink an organization, can select an organization and choose, via the bulk actions button, the Unlink organization action. When selecting the option a new window pops up and shows all the organizations that are linked to the selected organization. After selecting an organization and pressing save, the organization is unlinked from the organization.
