Through Permissions, it is possible to configure roles and rights. Within Your Research, you can create new roles, duplicate existing roles, and/or modify them within the relevant study database.

A role can be linked to the following authorization levels with their specific properties:

Study Administrator:

  • Can view participants belonging to the site or sites to which this person is linked, but not personal data.
  • If permission is granted, this person can only create accounts for other roles within the authorization level "StudyAdministrator", "Principal Investigator", "Main Researcher", and/or "Local Researcher".

Principal Investigator:

  • Can view participants belonging to the site or sites to which this person is linked.
  • If permission is granted, this person can only create accounts for other roles within the authorization level "Principal Investigator", "Main Researcher", and/or "Local Researcher".

Main Researcher:

  • Can view participants belonging to the site or sites to which this person is linked.
  • If permission is granted, this person can only create accounts for roles within the authorization level "Local Researcher".

Local Researcher:

  • Can only view participants linked to him or her.
  • Cannot create accounts.
